FAQs

Does Dr. Diana see patients in person?

At this time, Dr. Diana sees patients exclusively via video visits (or phone, if you prefer).

Are visits covered by insurance?

We currently do not bill to insurance, as insurance companies generally do not reimburse for functional and integrative medicine services provided. Visits are currently paid for conveniently via this website at the time of booking. You are welcome to submit your receipt to your insurance provider, for possible out-of-network reimbursement, if applicable.

How Do I Get Tested for Mold?

Dr. Diana recommends urine mycotoxin testing to see exactly which mold toxins you have in your body at this current time as well as the levels of those toxins. The urine sample test kit is mailed from the lab to your home. Dr. Diana also recommends working with a licensed mold assessor to test your indoor environments.

If I would like Dr. Diana to order my urine mycotoxins test (mold test), do I have to pay for a consult as well?

Yes, booking and paying for a consultation is required prior to urine mycotoxins testing being ordered.

How Long Do Test Results Take to Come Back?

Once your sample arrives at the lab, results take about 10 days.

What If the Urine Mold Test is Negative?

Dr. Diana will work with you to see what other testing is indicated to reach the root cause(s) of your symptoms.

Why Integrative and Functional Medicine?

There are many reasons why Integrative Medicine is the superior choice for optimizing health, including the following:

  1. Holistic approach: Integrative medicine focuses on treating the whole person, taking into account your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. It aims to address the root causes of health issues rather than just managing symptoms.

  2. Individualized care: Integrative medicine emphasizes personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs. Dr. Diana spends time understanding your medical history, lifestyle, and goals to develop a comprehensive approach to your health.

  3. Focus on prevention: Integrative medicine places a strong emphasis on preventive care and lifestyle modifications. Dr. Diana educates patients about healthy living practices, stress management, nutrition, exercise, and other factors that can promote long-term wellness and disease prevention.

  4. Chronic disease management: Integrative medicine offers alternative strategies for managing chronic conditions, such as autoimmune diseases and chronic pain.

  5. Patient empowerment: Integrative medicine empowers you to take an active role in your healthcare journey. It encourages you to become educated and make informed decisions about your health.

It's important to note that integrative medicine does not reject conventional medicine but rather complements it, aiming to provide a more comprehensive and patient-centered approach to healthcare.

How does Dr. Diana's approach differ?

Dr. Diana has the perspective of 10 years of experience as a practicing MD which allows her to make safe and effective personalized protocols taking into account the whole person, underlying diagnoses, medications, allergies, prior interventions and other relevant information.
