Why You Can Still Feel Off After the Mold Is Gone and the Gut Is Healed

You spent months, maybe years, managing symptoms or a chronic illness. Maybe you were even living or working somewhere that was quietly making you sick. So your body adapted. It went on alert, and it got quicker to react and slower to let go.
That isn't your body failing you. That's your body doing exactly what it's built to do when something has been wrong for long enough.
What nobody warns you about is what happens after
You treat the mold. You heal the gut. You get the exposure out of the house. And the alert system doesn't switch off on its own, because nothing has told it anything changed. It learned a setting, and it's still running it.
So you're doing everything right and still waking up braced. Still reacting to foods that used to be fine. Still flattened by an ordinary day. Still dealing with gut issues or skin flares that don't line up with anything you're currently exposed to.
Your nervous system has to relearn safety the same way your gut had to heal, your hormones had to level out, or your immune system had to settle. That takes actual steps, repeated, over enough weeks that your body has evidence to go on rather than just being told it's safe now.
You should get to feel like yourself again, not just stable. I want you all the way better, not a little less symptomatic.
Part of what makes this stage confusing is that it doesn't look like the illness did. There's no clear trigger to point to, no new exposure to rule out. It's a body that's still bracing out of habit, and habit doesn't respond to more testing or another supplement. It responds to your nervous system getting new information, over and over, until the old setting finally updates.
